He's here, NO JOKE!!

I guess this little baby couldn't stand the wait... possibly a trait he's acquired from his mother. My lil' peanut was born 5/18/09 @ 12:41am. He weighed 1lb 11oz and is currently in the NICU at Phoenix Children's Hospital getting the best care we could hope for.

It's a BOY!!!!!!!

We found out Thursday of last week that we're having a boy! I'm so glad because I don't know if I could handle a little girl. God only knows that anything I produced would be whiny and quite the handful. Now that I say that I'm sure my little boy will have A.D.D. and need to be put on a leash. *starts praying*

This photo of Aiden's foot cracks me up, the baby has my big feet and long toes...
poor kid! =)

Officially Fat

I have been trying to convince myself that I'm able to wear my regular clothes until I had a few less than polite comments from co-workers. It's amazing to me how inconsiderate people can be when they think they're being helpful. "You're only 15-weeks and already showing that much," then these women love to go on about their own pregnancies and expect for me to be enlightened by the whole conversation. Sunday morning I decided to start looking for a few new shirts. I'm not the kind of girl that invests a fortune in clothes, except maybe jeans, so I decided to go to Ross for a more affordable wardrobe change. I found 3 cute shirts and only spent $35 - thanks Doug! Then as if 3 weren’t enough, I decided to head over to the mall. I tried on about 10 shirts at Motherhood and only ended up with one. Overall, it was a great shopping experience and I felt more comfortable today at work. The best part about going to a maternity store was trying on the baby bump. The baby bump is about the size of a small sofa pillow and straps to your waist. The purpose is to make sure when you buy a shirt it will fit for the next 4 months. Most of the shirts looked cuter with the baby bump - one positive to getting fat, looking cute! I think it's time to get a prego picture up here. Give it a few days and I'll post one. =)

Not much to report...

I had my first ultrasound last week and I'm now 12 weeks along, due August 26, 2009. This shall prove to be a time of my life that my true strength is tested. I am struggling lately to remain alert and energized an entire days time. I've been told that the second trimester will prove to be a much more rested time and I should be able to conquer these feelings. As for cravings, the list is rather short; Mexican and Italian food, ice cream and oranges. I tend to eat lots of fruit and less veggies. I think I need to combine two cravings into one and start making smoothies. I'm sure they'd be hearty and healthy. My next appointment is 2/16 and I'll find out, well I'm not sure what I'll find out. As soon as I start getting fat I'll post pictures, lets hope that I don't get too fat! =)

alright, here goes nothing!!

As I get older I wonder if I should be doing more "grown-up" things. My recent turn of events has made me consider the fact that maybe it's time. I'm still deciding on a more drastic "grown-up" outlet for my life. In the meantime, I've decided to post a blog about my day-to-day events. This will help serve as a place for my family to check-in on my prego progress. For me, I feel as if I'm doing something domestic all while growing a human being inside.
